Artist's Description
"Boy in a Manger" This 18x24 oil on canvas piece is inspired by a photo from Palestinian journalist and hero, Plestia in Gaza. It depicts a father and son fleeing by bike to survive the Palestinian Genocide currently enacted by Israel. All funds from this piece will be donated to UNRWA USA to provide medical aid, food, supplies, and shelter for displaced children and civilians in Gaza.
About Marc Chicoine
We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. - Proverb from Tokushima Marc Chicoine is a visual artist and dancer based in Brooklyn, NY and Raleigh, NC. Marc was born in the Bay Area of California. He received his BA from Chicago based Northwestern University in Cognitive Science and Communication. He moved to NYC in order to pursue freestyle dance and further develop his creative ambitions. Marc then worked in design and commercial art within the education technology sector, before returning to school to receive an MFA from the Pratt Institute.
